Burton Essential Services works with Rental Providers (Landlords) to keep their rental properties compliant with the Residential Tenancies Regulations by providing Prompt and cost effective essential safety inspections as and when required.
We maintain all the records and advise when re-testing is required.

Gas Check
A gas safety check of all gas installations and fittings in the rented premises must be conducted every 2 years (or upon change of tenant, prior to occupation) by a licensed or registered type A gas-fitter.
✓ Meets AS/NZS5601.1 "Gas installations”
✓ Licensed Type A Gas Fitter
✓ Choose Annual or Bi-Annual
Electrical Check
This check must be conducted at least every two years for tenanted properties and prior to occupation of the property for new renters.
✓ Licensed electrical contractor.
✓ Meets AS/NZS 3019 "Electrical installations”
Smoke Alarm Check
All smoke detectors will be checked for function and correct placement, battery replaced, date of service marked.
✓ Older than 10 years replaced for a fee.
✓ Battery detectors will be relocated if non-compliant
Rental Minimum Standards 14-point check (RMS)
$150
The requirement to meet The Rental Minimum Standards is ongoing and must be met at all times.
This check is to confirm that the property met the Rental Minimum Standard on the date and time of the inspection. This service is recommended annually, for continuing compliance.
Safe Home Bundle (All 4 Checks)
The requirement to meet The Rental Minimum Standards is ongoing and must be met at all times.
This check is to confirm that the property met the Rental Minimum Standard on the date and time of the inspection. This service is recommended for peace of mind.
